Job Details

IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is looking for a Windows Systems Administrator to be responsible for providing technical support for COTS (Custom Off the Shelf) packages.

Tasks
  • Perform system administrator assignments including but not limited to installing systems and application components and configuring them on Windows and Linux environments.
  • Gathering and documenting requirements, researching and presenting options, analyzing and recommending solutions for both ongoing application changes and new efforts.
  • Ensuring application and infrastructure security following Federal, State and industry standards are also an essential trait in this role.
  • Heavy collaboration with vendors, customers, and other technical areas to understand and execute projects and changes timely.
  • Maintain various COTS applications and help configure changes as required for some SAAS products.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

NOTE: Local candidates only (must be located within 2 hours of Lansing, MI at time of submission). NO RELOCATION ALLOWED. Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week.

Skills Required:
  • 5-7+ years - Experience installing and configuring systems and application components on Windows and Linux environments
  • 5-7+ years - Experience with gathering and documenting requirements, researching and presenting options, analyzing and recommending solutions for both ongoing application changes and new efforts
  • 5-7+ years - Experience with Windows Server administration (2016 and later), RHEL 7.0 and above, Tomcat, and/or IIS
  • 5-7+ years - Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform, PowerShell, Azure DevOps
  • 5-7+ years - Experience with MS SQL Management Studio, Dynatrace/ Similar debug tools, XML, , Visio, SSO (SAML, OAuth, OpenID)
  • 5-7+ years - Experience with Network knowledge LAN/WAN, Architecture, Firewalls, IOT, etc.
  • 5-7+ years - Analytical skills and extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, monitoring, networks, firewalls, architecture including diagraming, remediating vulnerabilities and other application and server support duties
  • 3-5 years - Experience implementing and configuring applications in Azure Cloud infrastructure, proficiency in Azure services, containerization, and IAC
  • Bachelor s Degree
