Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Strategic IT Consultant to provide high-level technology leadership and operational oversight for a dynamic and mission-driven organization. This role will focus on aligning IT strategies with institutional goals, driving modernization efforts, and supporting excellence across infrastructure, applications, and user experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in educational or enterprise IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic IT Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking IT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead initiatives that improve educational or business outcomes through smart use of technology.
- Ensure technology investments provide measurable value and support long-term planning.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and establish business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Implement IT governance frameworks that align with industry and regulatory standards.
Technology Innovation & Modernization
- Guide deployment and adoption of modern platforms (e.g., identity management, device management).
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, such as wireless network enhancements or endpoint security improvements.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that increase organizational agility and user satisfaction.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee IT operations including infrastructure, applications, and support services.
- Define performance benchmarks and ensure service delivery meets operational and strategic goals.
- Document current IT infrastructure and assess overall team performance and capacity.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering insights on technology trends and opportunities.
- Engage cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with broader organizational needs and priorities.
Team Development & Leadership
- Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, promoting a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Provide professional development opportunities and support team growth.
- Promote and model diversity, equity, and inclusion in IT team practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership or consulting role.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT strategy, operations, and governance.
- Experience with modern cloud-based identity and device management tools preferred.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
