Job Title: Network Architect

Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable network infrastructure in a primarily on-premises environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Palo Alto and Zscaler, with a proven track record of leading network architecture initiatives in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect secure, scalable, and high-performance network solutions in an on-premises setting.

  • Develop detailed network designs and documentation (HLDs and LLDs).

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize network hardware and software, focusing on Palo Alto firewalls and Zscaler cloud security solutions.

  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to align network architecture with business needs.

  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.

  • Implement best practices for network security, performance, and resilience.

  • Lead network migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Provide subject matter expertise during audits and compliance initiatives.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Palo Alto Networks (firewall configuration, Panorama, threat prevention, etc.)

  • Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, cloud security policies, traffic forwarding methods, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering/architecture roles.

  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, etc.)

  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.

  • Familiarity with hybrid or cloud-connected networks (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.

  • Relevant certifications such as PCNSE, Zscaler Certified Professional, CCNP, or similar.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting

  • Leadership and stakeholder engagement experience is a plus
