Role: Senior Platform Engineer ServiceNow

We re seeking experienced ServiceNow Developers to join Capital One's engineering teams, supporting a large-scale effort in IT Asset Management (ITAM), CMDB, ITOM/Discovery, ITSM, and ITRM workflow development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow modules (CMDB, ITAM, ITOM, ITSM).

  • Integrate with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

  • Lead initiatives across cross-functional agile teams.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal communities.

  • Provide SME-level support for ServiceNow platform features and enhancements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

  • Drive best practices in full-stack software engineering and automation.


Required Experience:

10+ years in ServiceNow platform and application development
Deep knowledge of:
- Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Policies, Script Includes
- GlideScript, JavaScript, Workflows, Notifications, SLA configuration
6+ years with:
- IT Asset Management (ITAM)
- IT Operations Management (ITOM)
- Workflow Development
Experience in CMDB structuring and Discovery integration
Strong REST/SOAP integration and scripting knowledge
Hands-on Agile/Scrum team experience
