The Fiber Optic Ribbon Cable Product Manager will be tasked with expanding CommScope's Fiber Optic Ribbon Cable Product Line in North America. This role entails driving global product line strategies and achieving both short-term and long-term profitability objectives. The successful candidate will lead collaborative initiatives across product line management, technology, manufacturing, sales, and marketing to define and execute the Ribbon Cable product strategy. As the subject matter expert, the candidate will foster innovation, ensure customer satisfaction, and achieve revenue and profitability goals. This is an on-site role at our Claremont, NC, facility.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
  • Develop and manage the strategy for the fiber ribbon product line through all stages of innovation, from product concept to commercialization and lifecycle management.
  • Create and implement the product roadmap for Fiber Optic Ribbon Cable, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to identify and develop new products and their associated value propositions.
  • Work with manufacturing and sales to pinpoint opportunities for reducing complexity and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Address new products and special requests by creating business cases to assess feasibility and pricing requirements.
  • Define product requirements and specifications based on customer needs, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Maintain effective communication with sales, engineering, operations, and marketing teams, partnering to develop product collateral, campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Monitor supply chain activities and communicate necessary corrective actions with supply chain and manufacturing as needed.
  • Develop and execute annual commercial plans to achieve product line objectives, including pricing strategies and promotional growth initiatives.
  • Manage forecasts for the product portfolio.
  • Provide technical expertise and assist in creating sales tools and training for the sales team, distributors, key accounts, and channel partners.
  • Identify and support opportunities for cost reduction within the product portfolio.


Required Qualifications for Consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree in science or business with an analytical background and strong potential for technical learning.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product line management, marketing, sales, manufacturing, or engineering in fiber optic cable
  • Previous experience with the fiber ribbon cable market.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and leading multi-functional teams.


You Will Excite Us If You Have:
  • MBA or equivalent experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience in managing people.
  • Work experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Strategy.
  • Financial analysis and accounting experience.

Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
