Position Overview:
This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity that has a hybrid schedule requiring candidates to come onsite 1 day per week downtown Chicago, IL.

Description
This role will play a crucial role in ensuring the security posture of our organization by developing the data integration of security tooling to drive security remediation using a risk based approach. This engineering role will be the primary data aggregation technician and tooling expert across a wide variety of security and infrastructure tools. Building automation to join and analyze information from multiple sources to improve security vision will be primary activity in this role.
As a Security Remediation Analyst/Engineer, you will work to track remediate security vulnerabilities based on a risk basd prioritization with various IT teams across the organization, track remediation efforts, and strengthen our defenses against threats.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
Data Integration: Collaborate with the security team to gather data from security tools, including Tenable, Veracode, Brinqa, JFrog, and Anxonius, and consolidate this information into a comprehensive report for business evaluation
Strong knowledge of data analysis and management including data structures, SQL, API's for integration and strong knowledge of tools to analyze data such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Looker or Python.
Leveraging data feeds to produce dashboards for C-level and operational consumption.
Vulnerability Remediation: Analyze security vulnerability data and develop effective remediation dashboard to address identified issues promptly.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, IT, and operations, to prioritize and implement security remediation activities.
Work within ServiceNow CMBD to mapp devices, applications and systems to allow security teams to effectively visualize threats within their envionment and prioritize remediation efforts
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of security findings, remediation progress, and security posture improvements.
Reporting: Generate periodic reports and provide insights to management and stakeholders about the organization's security posture and improvements made.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
