Position: Senior Data Systems Analyst
Location: Remote or onsite/hybrid in Nashville, TN
Duration: Longterm contract
The Senior Systems Analyst will work with stakeholders across various levels to analyze business system needs and develop logical specifications for software/hardware solutions addressing moderately to highly complex business problems. This role is focused on analysis, definition, and logical design of systems not hands-on programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level consultation to senior management on complex systems analysis matters, often requiring coordination across departments.
- Work independently on high-impact, complex issues or large-scale assignments.
- Analyze, design, and prepare application/system specifications to meet business needs.
- Define system scope and objectives based on user-defined requirements.
- Develop or modify procedures to address the most complex issues, considering hardware capacity, limitations, and desired results.
- Prepare detailed specifications for software development.
- Analyze and revise system logic and documentation, as necessary.
- Collaborate with client management to gather and define complex business requirements and assist with application design, testing, and implementation.
- Coordinate with other IT teams (e.g., database, telecom, operations, technical support).
- Act as a technical expert and resource throughout all phases of system development and implementation.
- Provide quality assurance oversight and ensure all deliverables meet organizational standards.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to define roadmaps, priorities, and business value.
- Conduct data investigations, track data lineage, and resolve data quality issues.
- Facilitate business owner review sessions and execute end-to-end, integration, and data quality validations.
- Support production issue and defect resolution as needed.
5+ years of experience in the following:
- Data analysis
- Business and technical requirements gathering
- Product ownership and backlog management
- Process documentation
- Stakeholder-facing roles with strong communication skills
- Experience implementing compliance requirements in the healthcare industry
- Strong knowledge of CMS Interoperability and FHIR implementation guides and standards
- Experience with payer solutions in the healthcare sector
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
- Strong logical reasoning and attention to detail
- Ability to engage business and data stakeholders effectively
- Capable of managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, quick learner, and strong team collaborator
