Overview: The organization manages enterprise data center infrastructure and core applications, including Financials, Cloud File Systems (CFS), Messaging, Mobility, and Content Management System (CMS) platforms. As infrastructure scales and systems grow more complex, additional engineering support is required to enhance operations, maintenance, and technology modernization.

Objective: We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Systems Administrator with deep expertise in enterprise server, storage, and data protection technologies across on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud server, storage, and data protection solutions, including automation to support enterprise workloads (messaging, financial systems, vendor and application servers, and databases).
  • Perform system administration for expanding infrastructure: capacity planning, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and integration of new technologies.
  • Provide 247 on-call support and work across data center sites and approved telework.
  • Support the Enterprise Storage & Data Protection (ESDP) Branch in evaluating policies, architecture, automation opportunities, and operational improvements.
  • Manage production storage and backup systems including PURE, Commvault, Cisco SAN, and cloud platforms.
  • Execute SAN zoning; provision, expand, and troubleshoot storage; and support backup/restore operations (Exchange, Windows/Unix file systems, Oracle/SQL databases).
  • Plan and recommend hardware/software enhancements to strengthen enterprise storage and protection services.
  • Ensure secure, reliable, and cost-efficient deployment and operation of hybrid environments in collaboration with engineering, security, and operations teams.
  • Monitor consumption and optimize costs; maintain system stability across production and non-production environments.
  • Develop knowledge base content, operational SOPs, and automation scripts.

Position Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 6+ years in enterprise storage and data protection for hybrid environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Commvault Hyperscale, Windows File Server, PURE FlashArray/FlashBlade, NetApp, AWS compute/storage.
  • Proficiency with automation/scripting (Ansible, Python, PowerShell).
  • Strong knowledge of VMware (ESX/vSphere/vCenter), NAS/SAN (Cisco preferred), file/block/object storage, and BCDR practices.
  • Familiarity with data center design, Active/Active configurations, and hybrid/private/public clouds.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift/Portworx/container platforms preferred.
  • Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
