CSEngineering is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to our growing team! This position provides direct support to the Civil Units within DoD, driving design, diagnostics, project coordination, and implementation for major base infrastructure. You'll evaluate system layouts, recommend upgrades, and work closely with A/E firms and DoD partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Independently plans and carries out successive steps and handles problems and deviations in work assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted practices. Completes work in a technically sound, appropriate manner in conformance with policy and requirements. Completely responsible for small projects or portions of large, complex projects assigned to higher-grade engineers. Reviews operating systems for accuracy and reliability. Prepares layouts, design considerations, and specifications for electrical circuits, equipment, and systems on individual projects. Diagnoses electrical systems, investigates options, and recommends corrective action for problem identification and resolution.
  • Independently performs work assignments that gradually increase in difficulty and complexity. Collects electrical system field data for status, condition, and operating parameters to identify deviations from standards. Reviews projects for design criteria to ensure compliance with project requirements in addition to compatibility, maintainability, and functionality. Develops project schedules, cost estimates, and statements of work for small projects or portions of large, complex projects.
  • Performs special assignments in support of the Civil Units within DoD. Works with other professionals/specialists in planning and conducting studies. Remains aware of emerging technologies and professional developments to stay current in the field and for application to work assignments. Participates in studies and economic analysis of new proposals to determine the feasibility of construction, renovation, or modification. Performs standard operating and maintenance tasks to encompass repair, upgrade, and operation of facilities and utilities. Acts as the project liaison with other agencies.
  • Drafts or prepares a variety of documents to include official correspondence, newsletter items, responses to routine inquiries, reports, letters, briefing slides, and other electrical engineering documents. Uses software such as word processing, spreadsheets, programming languages, plotting software, etc., to facilitate work. Orally communicates guidelines, standpoints, and other electrical engineering-related information to others to include but not limited to supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and regulators. Coordinate with Civil Unit shops and other installation organizations to address problems and recommend corrective action.
  • The engineer shall interact with A/E firms providing project direction, project decisions, project feedback, project coordination, project scheduling, required base information, all engineering information, all CE information, schedule project reviews, manage all project reviews, and final project approval /recommendations.
  • The Engineer shall provide consulting services and project coordination. The Engineer shall provide weekly input for the Weekly Activity Report.
  • The Engineer shall collect data and evaluate factors that affect the application of concepts, principles, theories, and methods required to observe, examine, measure, analyze, map, and describe physical and technical features and phenomena.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance
  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer registration is desired
