Job Description:
Automation QA Programmer Analyst
Looking for an experienced Automation QA Analyst to support the design, development, and execution of automated and manual test strategies for complex enterprise Java/JEE applications. This role focuses on designing and executing test automation strategies, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and supporting modern Agile software delivery.
You'll work closely with developers, product owners, and QA peers to embed quality into
each sprint and drive test automation coverage across services and UI layers. The ideal
candidate is a self-starter with strong ACCELQ experience and a deep understanding of
modern testing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement test strategy, scenarios, and test cases for Java-based applications.
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using ACCELQ to achieve
comprehensive test coverage.
Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers for issue resolution.
Lead and architect test automation frameworks and reusable components.
Support continuous testing practices integrated with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines.
De?ne, implement, and report on test metrics and KPIs.
Provide guidance and mentoring to QA team members and ensure adherence to
automation standards.
Perform manual testing for stories/defects/tasks as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of QA experience with at least 3 years in test automation.
Deep knowledge and experience with ACCELQ test automation tool-including building Actions, Scenarios, and data-driven tests.
Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and Agile testing practices.
Experience in testing Java/JEE enterprise applications, including web services and UI testing.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Zephyr.
Experience with API testing, cross-browser testing, and data validation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in SQL/PLSQL for database validation.
Knowledge of CI/CD integration for automation test execution (e.g., Jenkins).
Experience with performance and load testing tools is a plus.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Previous experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban/Scrumban).
Exposure to containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) and test
environments in the cloud.
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Collaborative and team-oriented; able to coordinate with developers, BAs, and
stakeholders.
