About the Role:

• This role is responsible for the evolution and continuous improvement of member/user experience across client s digital channels, including the public website, online banking and the mobile app, and any custom-built properties.


• Understand, capture, and translate business and functional objectives into interactive prototypes with detailed IA and UI/UX design specifications.


• Lead the build /update of digital interfaces by providing guidance or directly working on the frontend, make sure all visual and textual assets are SEO and ADA compliant.


• Partner with the UX researchers to initiate and lead usability and accessibility studies.


• Create, manage, and maintain the internal design system.


• Closely collaborate with the rest of the Digital UX & Product Management team, Martech team, Marketing, IT, and other LOB stakeholders, act as liaison and a UCD champion.


• Actively facilitate IA and UX/UI-related efforts, represent the team in cross-functional efforts in addition to other assigned IA and UX/UI resources.


• Build and maintain a close working relationship with all stakeholders, across all levels of the enterprise, including the executive management up to the SVP level.


• This role requires expertise in both UX Design and Information Architecture.

Job Title: Frontend Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the SME and champion of usability and user experience, and user-centered design, UCD to improve the user experience of all client s digital properties.


• Provide architectural deliverables, such as user task/journey flows, storyboards, prototypes, publishable interfaces, content, and style guides, etc.


• Drive IA and UX/UI-related business requirements in collaboration with business analysts, content strategists and digital analysts.


• Provide guidance and solution options for complaints and suggestions received; generate proposals for IA and UX enhancements.


• Present IA and UX design proposals to executives and pertinent lines of business.


• Execute approved IA and UX design ideas through front-end programming in content management system to create, maintain and improve digital interfaces.


• Inform the executive vision and decision-making towards the further, continuous evolution of the digital properties to achieve set business objectives.


• Capture and translate the executive leadership vision into concrete UX deliverables.


• Keep current with front-end development languages and frameworks such HTML, CSS, jQuery/JavaScript, Bootstrap, etc.


• Keep current with emerging human-computer interaction technologies and user experience methodologies.


• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designer(s) and other team members in the creation of wireframes, comps (banner ads, landing pages and other assets), copywriting for the web, and other deliverables, in support of marketing efforts.


• Review all (third-party) research on feedback, usability, and user personas, organize data for easy reference whenever applicable, as well as for safekeeping within the Digital IA/UX & Product Management library.


• Work with vendors to customize 3rd party solutions to meet client s voice, branding, and styling requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Management Information Systems and/or comparable experience. Master s degree preferred. UX Certification strongly preferred.


• Seven or more years of UI and UX design and development work.


• Excellent skills with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, jQuery/JavaScript, etc., frameworks such as Bootstrap, and use of industry-standard design and prototyping tools


• Ability to understand and translate business and user requirements, as well as technical considerations into web copy, wireframes, comps, and other deliverables.


• Proven record of effectively utilizing usability and web analytics concepts and methodologies.


• Superb interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams throughout the organization.


• Excellent written and oral communication skills with people of all technical levels and ability to interpret technical language into business language and vice versa.


• Demonstrated ability in utilizing client s new and existing technologies, taking advantage of such to digitize processes for the team and LOBs.

Location: Sacramento, CA

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $110,000 $145,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
