Information Technology Systems Analyst (On-Site, Soda Springs, Idaho.)

The Information Technology Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing processes, identifying organizational needs, and translating those needs into requirements for information system deliverables. You evaluate information systems to assess their suitability for the organization's needs and projected outcomes; liaise with end users, software vendors, and programmers to achieve desired results. Your focus areas include designing, implementing, and managing various network segments, servers, SQL databases, hardware systems, and software packages. You lead cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives and manage medium-scale projects to meet business objectives. You configure off-the-shelf software or develop custom applications to meet business requirements and create methods to extract and analyze data from a variety of systems and applications using tools and technologies defined by company best practices.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, configure, implement, and maintain general computer applications software, specialized utility programs, and hardware systems;
  • Work with key business partners to develop and ensure adherence to the company's standards for software and hardware platforms, advising stakeholders on software policies and best practices;
  • Oversee and complete the upgrade of existing computer systems or the installation of new systems;
  • Manage vendors and contractors to accomplish IT and process control tasks and projects safely and efficiently;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge with current technologies and technical developments, conducting assessments on new platforms to ensure technology solutions leverage cutting-edge integration capabilities;
  • Develop information security strategy and support internal infrastructure through patch management, firewall configuration, antivirus deployment and maintenance, group policy object management, identity, and access management;
  • Develop, oversee, and provide training to employees on the operation of upgraded or newly installed systems;
  • Drive continuous improvement through implementation and configuration of technology solutions;
  • Accountable for documentation of solutions, including user manuals, reference guides, and interface documents, including site Business Continuity Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, and other policies and procedures related to site operations;
  • Ensure cybersecurity of networks by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks through control implementation and hardening;
  • Extend and maintain site-specific and Bayer-standard network infrastructure and technologies into new construction projects;
  • Serve as a project manager for key initiatives, ensuring timely completion within budget.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Experience in Information Technology administration, operation, and/or cybersecurity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT administration, operation, and/or cybersecurity;
  • Vendor-specific and vendor-neutral professional level certifications in IT operation and administration, cybersecurity, project management, and networking (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, ISC2, PMI) are preferred;
  • Experience with C#, .Net Visual Studio, Entity Framework, Database design (Oracle and SQL), PowerShell, JavaScript is preferred;
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills;

Position located in Soda Springs, Idaho.

Domestic Relocation may be offered.
