Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Knowledge Management Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to gain hands-on experience in knowledge organization, content curation and management, and information dissemination strategies within a dynamic work environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Content Creation and Maintenance: Collaborate with IT and HR teams to create, update, and maintain knowledge articles and documentation following the KCS methodology, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and usability.
  • Knowledge Base Management: Support the development and maintenance of a centralized knowledge base for IT and HR, utilizing KCS principles such as content standardization, categorization, and version control.
  • Incident Resolution Support: Provide assistance to IT and HR support teams in utilizing the knowledge base to resolve incidents and inquiries efficiently, including performing searches, recommending relevant knowledge articles, and capturing new knowledge during incident resolution.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyze metrics related to IT and HR knowledge usage, effectiveness, and contribution to incident resolution, and generate reports and insights to measure the impact of knowledge management efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training and Enablement: Participate in training sessions and workshops on KCS principles and practices and assist in the development and delivery of training materials to enable IT and HR staff to effectively contribute to and utilize the knowledge base.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with IT, HR, and other relevant teams to promote the importance of knowledge management and facilitate cross-functional knowledge sharing and communicate updates and best practices related to IT and HR knowledge management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of IT and HR knowledge management processes and tools and contribute ideas and recommendations for continuous improvement based on feedback and analysis.
  • Documentation: Assist in the documentation of IT and HR knowledge management processes, procedures, and best practices, and contribute to the development of standards and guidelines for knowledge creation and maintenance.
  • Content Curation and Quality Assurance: Assist in the curation of IT and HR knowledge content and conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure the quality and consistency of knowledge articles, leveraging feedback from users and stakeholders.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, in Library Science, Information Science, Knowledge Management, Business Administration, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with knowledge management principles and practices is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.

Salary Range:
$21.44 - $37.55
