MQ Engineer - Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer**
Location: Dallas, TX / Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid: Onsite Tues-Thurs, Remote Mon & Fri)
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Experience Level: Minimum 3+ years required
**About the Role:**
Our client is seeking a talented MQ Engineer to join their dynamic IT infrastructure team. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting IBM WebSphere MQ in a high-speed, event-driven environment. As an integral part of the team, you'll collaborate on building efficient business-aligned messaging architecture, ensuring seamless and reliable message transactions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect, implement, and maintain **IBM WebSphere MQ** solutions.
- Optimize and support high-speed message transactions in mission-critical applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enhance messaging architecture.
**Must-Have Skills:**
Expertise in IBM WebSphere MQ (design and implementation).
Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL 8).
Experience with Veritas Clustering (Kafka Connect is acceptable, but Veritas Clustering is preferred).
Excellent communication skills, patience, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
**Nice-to-Have Skills:**
Experience with Azure and Kubernetes (k8s).
A broader understanding of Linux systems.
