we are a Tier 1 vendor for the City and County of San Francisco for Cloud Services, Staffing Services and Training Services. For this multi-year opportunity with a diverse set of needs to address, we are currently focusing on establishing partnerships with individuals as well as companies who can help us enhance our overall service portfolio, cut lead times, and ultimately help us deliver successfully. We currently hold sizable Government accounts in the San Francisco bay area including City and County of San Francisco, San Mateo County, and Santa Clara County.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, clarify and manage the scope of the project, define contract deliverables and achieve targeted outcomes.

  2. Ensure project requirements are achieved in a timely fashion and within budget guidelines.

  3. Assemble project team, identify needed resources, assign responsibilities and develop timeframes to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables.

  4. Determine project costs/ensure delivery on time and within budgetary guidelines.

  5. Ensure compatibility and consistency with existing architectural and enterprise standards.

  6. Perform cost/benefit analysis of actions and initiatives.

  7. Schedule meetings and document meeting minutes.

  8. Follow the OIT Project Management practice and prescribed SDLC.

  9. Prepare status reports, status summaries and dashboards for presentation to mid and senior level management.

  10. Provide support, coaching and mentoring on project management best practices, as requested for project coordinator associates

Mandatory Skills: Required:

  1. Demonstrate leadership qualities such as conflict/issue resolution, the ability to run a project or serve as project manager on a program team and can ensure a successful project lifecycle

  2. Communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with stakeholders and senior business leadership of departments and agencies participating in this project.

  3. Organize and work effectively with project teams of staff from department and agencies participating in this effort

  4. Demonstrate experience and relevant expertise in the design and building of distributed and enterprise solutions

  5. Plan, organize and direct the work activities of outside consultants and/or systems analysis and programming personnel assigned on a team.

  6. Demonstrate presentation skills, strategic thinking, and high professional ethics.

  7. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, departmental officials, outside consultants and vendors.

  8. Demonstrate proficiency with the principles of project management, systems delivery life cycle, and budgeting.

  9. Concepts and applications of servers, storage, mainframes, monitoring, ITIL, metrics and performance management, disaster recovery, data center facilities management, managed services, and cloud computing.

  10. IT project management best practice, principles and techniques. (PMBOK)

Desirable Skills: Highly Desired/Preferred

  1. Completion of a Bachelors degree program at an accredited college or university with a major course work in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field.

  2. Minimum of 3-5 years Project Management experience managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects

  3. 4-6 years of applicable business experience

  4. PMP certification or Master's Certificate in Project Management preferred.

  5. Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Innovation & Technology and Human Resources
