Description
Robert Half is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and brings emotional intelligence, empathy, and a customer-centric mindset to every solution. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with industry experts and drive meaningful change through technology. This is a direct permanent role in the Kalamazoo, MI area working Hybrid onsite.
What You'll Do Partner with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and deliver IT solutions that support business goals. Design, implement, and manage monitoring and alert systems with automated responses to ensure business continuity. Mentor and guide technology teams, sharing knowledge and best practices. Establish and maintain standards for systems design, testing, implementation, support, and security. Create and maintain documentation including SOPs, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides. Drive scripting and automation to streamline operations and solve recurring issues. Act as a top-tier resource for resolving complex technical problems. Collaborate with IT leadership to identify skill gaps and evolve the IT function.
Requirements
What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise IT solutions from concept to implementation. 7+ years of experience diagnosing and resolving IT issues using industry best practices. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure. Expertise in managing multi-forest, multi-tenant, and multi-cloud environments. Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and Security & Compliance Center. Strong experience with Windows OS (Server and PC), DNS, DHCP, certificates, and licensing. Proven ability to design and manage network infrastructure (switches, routers, VLANs, etc.); OT networking is a plus. Familiarity with secure IT practices and industry standards. Preferred experience with Azure Government, Microsoft 365 GCC High, AWS GovCloud. Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations and integrations. ITIL process knowledge is a plus. Experience with Fortinet equipment and CAD systems like SolidWorks is a plus.
