RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Disaster Recovery Senior Manager in Doral, FL.
Summary:
The IT Disaster Recovery Senior Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure the company can recover and continue operations in the event of a disaster. This role involves managing disaster recovery planning, testing, and incident response efforts while ensuring alignment with business continuity (BC) strategies. The Senior Manager collaborates with IT, business units, and external stakeholders to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory requirements and industry standards compliance.
Essential Functions:
Management and Leadership:
* Responsible for overseeing resources through hiring, training, development, performance management, and annual reviews
* Assign work, have regular touchpoints, and ensure that individuals have the tools and resources to complete assigned tasks
* Communicate performance goals and expectations
* Proactively provide feedback and ask for feedback to ensure alignment
* Build a cohesive, highly motivated team by mentoring, coaching, leading by example, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning to maximize team performance
Planning and Execution:
* Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures
* Lead the disaster recovery testing and validation processes, including tabletop exercises and full-scale simulations
* Identify gaps and recommend improvements based on test results
* Prepare reports and metrics on DR program effectiveness and readiness
* Continuously review and update disaster recovery plans based on lessons learned and changes in the business environment
* Provide training and awareness programs on disaster recovery processes
Business Alignment:
* Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical business functions and processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience required; Master's degree preferred
* 8+ years of experience in leading the development, testing, and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for a large enterprise
* 8+ years of experience with DR/BC frameworks, methodologies, and technologies
* 8+ years of experience with cloud-based disaster recovery solutions and hybrid environments
* 8+ years of experience developing strong vendor relationships, authoring SOW's, and managing accountability
* 8+ years of experience creating, documenting, and executing technology strategies that align with business goals & objectives
* 8+ years of experience providing oversight for technology operations; measuring performance, meeting SLAs, improving quality, and driving down incidents
* 8+ years of experience successfully leading cross-functional teams to successful delivery
* 8+ years of experience directly managing staff and providing oversight to a team of technology professionals (on-site, near-shore and off-shore)
* 8+ years of experience planning and delivering large-scale initiatives
* 5+ years of experience administering Budgets; Monitoring Expenses; Authorizing Payments; And Securing Equipment/Goods
* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications, and how they relate to business processes
* Excellent knowledge of risk management and business impact analysis
* Business domain expertise and associated systems used within the specific portfolio
* Knowledge of cybersecurity incident response and its integration with disaster recovery
* Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX)
* 1+ years in the cruise and/or travel industry preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
