Job Description

We are seeking a Full Stack / Back End Java17 Developer for a contract role with our direct client. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with strong backend Java experience and working knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular.

Technical Must-Haves

  • Java 17
  • SQL (Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, or DB2)
  • Angular (UI/Front-end)
  • JBoss / IBM MQ
  • GIT, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins
  • JUnit & Mockito

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end application development and enhancement using Java
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality code
  • Troubleshoot application and performance issues
  • Develop and maintain unit tests
  • Perform code deployments using modern DevOps tools and practices

Basic Requirements

  • 8 10+ years of IT experience in Java/J2EE development
  • Experience with relational databases like Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, or DB2
  • Proficiency in middleware tools (JBoss, IBM MQ)
  • CI/CD experience using Git, Docker, Jenkins, Gradle
  • Testing experience with JUnit and Mockito
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Experience working in Agile environments
