Position: Senior Engineer Trading Enablement
Location: Boston, MA (3 days onsite preferred)
Type: Long-term Contract / Full-time (ASAP Start)
About the Role:
The Trading Enablement Team is a senior engineering group tackling high-impact initiatives and urgent technical challenges that directly influence global investment operations. We re seeking an experienced engineer who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, owns escalated issues, and drives key strategic projects vital to firm-wide operations.
Responsibilities
Investigate and resolve complex, high-priority technical challenges impacting trading and investment workflows.
Contribute to Global Multi-Batch a firm-wide initiative to modernize overnight processing and provide accurate real-time views of holdings, positions, and analytics.
Partner with traders, portfolio managers, and other business users to deliver effective, reliable solutions.
Work across the full tech stack front-end, back-end, APIs, and databases to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Share expertise, mentor team members, and enhance engineering standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer / Systems Engineer with strong computer science fundamentals.
Hands-on experience in .NET / C# / Java, API development, and database engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to work across multiple technology stacks.
Proven track record of ownership, communication, and cross-team collaboration.
(Preferred) Prior experience in investment management or trading systems; CRD (Charles River Development) knowledge is highly valued.
