Duration: 6 months (Potential to extend) - CTH is project extends
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid) - 3-4 days onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead and Senior Developer with expertise in JPOS to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of JPOS and the ability to lead and drive JPOS-related projects. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, payment domain expertise and client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the development and implementation of JPOS projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
Provide expert guidance on JPOS architecture, design, and best practices to optimize system performance and reliability.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, managing resources effectively.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to JPOS systems, implementing solutions that enhance functionality and user experience.
Communicate project progress and technical insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.
Qualifications
Minimum of eight years of experience in software development, with at least five years focused on JPOS.
Experience in card processing, card issuance and payment processing industries.
Proficiency in Java programming, JPOS framework, and related technologies.
Proven track record of leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in JPOS or Java development are a plus.
