Role: Network Engineer
Location: Miramar,FL (Hybrid)
Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and on-prem data centers (Cisco ACI, Nexus)
- Implement and support Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, and BGP routing
- Support hybrid environments with Palo Alto firewalls (VM & hardware), VPN, and segmentation
- Provide Tier 2/3 support, participate in on-call rotation, and troubleshoot performance/security issues
- Conduct capacity planning, risk assessments, and contingency planning
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to overall network strategy and standards
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture and configurations
- Mentor junior engineers and support cross-team technical initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in Azure/AWS networking, BGP, Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus, and Palo Alto NGFW
- Proficiency with VPNs, QoS, and network security best practices
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and enterprise ticketing systems
Preferred:
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation tools
- AWS Certification
- Experience in large-scale hybrid cloud environments
Specialized Technologies
- Cloud Networking: Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, VPC, Transit Gateway
- Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus
- Security: Palo Alto firewalls (VM & hardware), VPN, segmentation
- Performance & Optimization: QoS, SLA monitoring, backbone design
