RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Kafka Solutions Architect in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:
* Kafka Architecture: Design, implement, and optimize Kafka-based solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
* Solutions Architecture: Provide technical leadership and guidance in defining solution architectures, including integration with existing systems and technologies
* Directing Projects: Lead and direct project teams in the development and implementation of Kafka-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards
* Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities within Kafka clusters and associated systems
* Data Processing: Utilize Kafka Streams and other related technologies for real-time data processing and analytics
* Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address issues within Kafka environments
* Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and operational procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* 5-7 years of experience in Kafka architecture and implementation
* Proven experience in solutions architecture, with a focus on designing and implementing complex, scalable systems
* Experience with KSQL for stream processing and analytics
* Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles
* Proficiency in Kafka ecosystem components, including Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects in a remote work environment
* Contract or contract-to-hire availability
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
