📌 Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer with strong expertise in modern ABAP development, extensibility frameworks, and integration technologies. The ideal candidate will have a Clean Core mindset, ensuring upgrade-safe solutions while delivering WRICEF objects and extensibility features across SAP S/4HANA.

Location: Hybrid

Travel: Onsite travel to Ohio plant) during key project phases

🔧 Key Responsibilities ABAP Development:

  • Strong S/4HANA ABAP development experience: ABAP OO, SQL/performance optimization, modularization, exception handling, and debugging.
  • Enhancements & extensibility: BAdIs, user exits, implicit/explicit enhancements, enhancement framework; ability to follow released extensibility options where applicable.
  • Clean Core mindset: prioritize released APIs/CDS extensions/key-user extensibility; document deviations, minimize modifications, and design upgrade-safe solutions.
  • WRICEF end-to-end delivery:
  • Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms
  • Fiori/UI5: develop and extend SAP Fiori apps; launchpad considerations (catalogs/spaces/roles) in coordination with security team.
  • OData / APIs: build/extend OData services (Gateway), handle deep entities/batch processing, validations, error handling, and authorizations.
  • RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model): CDS-based service modeling, behavior definitions/implementations, validations/determinations/actions; managed/unmanaged exposure as applicable.
  • Adobe Forms: design and enhance Adobe Interactive Forms; output formatting, data binding, and integration with output management where required.
  • BRF+: create and integrate business rules (decision tables/functions), including integration with output determination/pricing/approval logic as relevant.
  • Integration skills:
  • Build/consume interfaces using IDoc/BAPI/RFC/Proxy/APIs as required.
  • CPI integration exposure: support iFlow requirements, payload mapping expectations, connectivity/auth (OAuth/cert), monitoring and troubleshooting, coordinated defect resolution with integration team.
  • Strong documentation discipline: technical specs, code documentation, interface catalogs, and deployment/runbook notes.
  • Quality practices: code reviews, ABAP Test Cockpit/SCI usage, and adherence to development standards

 ✅ Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Clean Core implementation strategies.
  • Experience in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with functional teams, architects, and integration specialists.
