Job Details

The client is requires the services of 2 Business Analyst 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Business Analyst 2, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Department of Public Safety and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Department of Public Safety will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) requires the services of 2 Business Analysts hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Business Analyst, Level 2, Emerging Technology and the specifications outlined in this document for DPS. Various technology and innovation projects that directly impact the daily operations of DPS to achieve Agency missions, goals, and objectives.

Support current DPS projects and priorities in the facilitation of gathering themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria and analysis of existing requirements documentation. Directly support project and development teams on various initiatives to improve agency effectiveness, compliance with applicable statutes, and enhance service delivery capabilities. Facilitate project development and quality assurance discussions on gathering story points to use for a predictive level of effort model.

Deliverables:

(1) Creating themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria according to Agency standards.

(2) Convert existing use cases to actionable user stories/epics/acceptance criteria in Jira.

(3) Analyze existing process documentation and document potential opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.

(4) Support development and implementation of various initiatives.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 Years-Required-In the field or related technology field as senior level Business Analyst
  • 3 Years-Required-Working knowledge of Agile project management methology/practices
  • 1 Years-Preferred-Understanding and documentation of use cases
  • 1 Years-Preferred-Process documentation mapping
