Role Overview
The Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) will be a key member of the Epic on Azure migration team, driving planning, design, and implementation efforts. This role requires hands-on expertise in Epic EHR infrastructure, Azure, and specialized tools like Kuiper and System Pulse. The ECSA will ensure seamless deployment, performance optimization, and compliance of Epic applications in the Azure cloud environment.

Industry Experience: Required Healthcare with Epic EHR system (due to highly specific skillset)
Key Responsibilities
- Migration & Planning: Participate in MIP (Migration & Implementation Planning) workshops, capture infrastructure requirements, and align technical strategy with Azure migration objectives.
- Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and maintain Epic Windows Server infrastructure on Azure. Configure and support applications such as Hyperspace, Interconnect, EPS, Web BLOB, BCA, and MyChart.
- Design & Architecture: Partner with architects to design scalable, secure, and Azure-compliant Epic solutions.
- System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Utilize Kuiper and System Pulse to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents to minimize downtime.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain KB articles, troubleshooting guides, and detailed documentation of system configurations and processes.
- Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing operational support, patches, and updates to ensure high availability and reliability of Epic applications.
- Compliance & Security: Adhere to HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational security standards; implement Azure-native security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
