Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health IT Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our mission, developing and integrating our healthcare solutions with various Health Information Systems (HIS) and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, healthcare knowledge, and a commitment to improving healthcare delivery through innovative IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • HIS/EHR Integration:
    • Lead the integration of our healthcare solutions with major Health Information Systems (HIS) such as Epic, MyChart, Practice Fusion, and OpenEMR.
    • Ensure seamless data exchange between our solutions and HIS platforms.
  • Data Capture and Storage:
    • Oversee the design and implementation of secure data capture and storage solutions for patient intake, medical history summaries, clinical notes, and medical billing.
    • Ensure all data management practices comply with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
  • HIPAA Compliance and Security:
    • Develop and implement security protocols to protect patient data and ensure HIPAA compliance.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high security standards.
  • Technical Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the AI/ML team and front-end developers to ensure the technical requirements for our healthcare solutions are met.
    • Collaborate with the development team to support backend development and data integration tasks.
  • User Interface Development:
    • Provide guidance and support in developing an independent UI/UX for our healthcare solutions using JavaScript, React, and other relevant technologies.
    • Ensure the UI/UX design meets the needs of healthcare providers and patients for an intuitive and efficient user experience.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Develop comprehensive documentation for system integrations, security protocols, and user guidelines.
    • Train internal teams and end-users on new systems and processes to ensure smooth adoption and utilization.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor s degree in Health Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health IT, with a focus on HIS/EHR integration and data management.
    • Proven experience ensuring HIPAA compliance and implementing healthcare data security protocols.
    • Strong background in developing and managing integrations with Epic, MyChart, Practice Fusion, OpenEMR, or similar systems.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and other relevant programming languages and frameworks.
    • Expertise in data capture, storage, and management systems.
    • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their application in healthcare is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
