Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis - Health Care Focus
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across clinical, regulatory, payer/provider, and operational teams.
- Analyze and document business processes and system workflows in areas such as revenue cycle management, claims processing, contract/pricing management, patient data workflows, or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories) aligned to compliance standards like HIPAA, HITECH, FDA, or CMS guidelines.
- Perform gap analysis and propose process improvements to increase efficiency, compliance, and patient outcomes.
- Support testing cycles by developing use cases, validation scripts, and acceptance criteria for healthcare systems.
- Support Project Managers by coordinating schedules, deliverables, and dependencies across cross-functional health care teams.
- Track project progress using PM tools and prepare status reports, RAID logs, and stakeholder communications.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stand-ups, ensuring teams remain aligned on priorities and timelines.
- Drive efforts independently with guidance from PM, demonstrating strong attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through.
- Assist with resource allocation, risk/issue tracking, and change requests to maintain project alignment.
- Act as a liaison between clinical/business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Ensure effective communication of requirements, risks, and status updates to leadership and end-users.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations for executive-level updates and Excel-based dashboards for tracking metrics and performance.
- Support change management and training initiatives by preparing training materials, job aids, and user guides.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MHA) or certifications (CBAP, PMP, CSM, Lean Six Sigma) preferred.
- 10+ years of combined experience as a Business Analyst and Project Coordinator in the healthcare domain.
- Proven experience with revenue management, payer/provider systems, clinical workflows, or regulatory-driven IT projects.
- Experience with large-scale healthcare transformation programs (EHR implementations, ERP/CRM rollouts, data compliance initiatives).
- Extensively proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling) and PowerPoint (executive presentations, stakeholder decks).
- Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Trello).
- Working knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and basic SQL a plus.

- Process Improvement (7+ years): Experience mapping and optimizing healthcare operations, revenue cycle, or claims processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement (10+ years): Ability to influence and collaborate across payers, providers, and regulatory teams.
- Change Management (5+ years): Supporting adoption of healthcare IT systems through structured training and communication.
- Documentation & Reporting (10+ years): Expert in producing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, Excel trackers, and PowerPoint reports.
- PM-Type Skillset (7+ years): Strong communicator, detail-oriented, capable of driving project efforts with accountability under PM guidance.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulatory-driven healthcare environment.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional, fast-paced, and compliance-heavy projects.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project and client site needs.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $45-$53/hour. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
