Job Title: Firewall Engineer
Duration: 12 months
Location: Atlanta (3 days per week onsite. Other locations listed below)
Pay Scale: $60-65/hr W2 (Cannot subcontract or C2C)
Job Description:
Matlen Silver has partnered with our leading financial services client to recruit a Network Firewall Engineer consultant that requires a deep understanding of both Checkpoint and Fortinet firewall technology stacks, ideally on-premise and cloud (Azure), to help support a migration project to Fortinet.
This is a hybrid onsite working model that requires the consultant to work 3 days a week in any of the following locations:

- Atlanta, GA
- Richmond,, VA
- Jacksonville, FL
- Chicago, IL
- Chandler, AZ
Must Haves:
- At least 5 years of experience directly managing enterprise network security infrastructure and technologies such as firewalls, content inspection, and malware inspection.
- 5 years of experience directly managing Fortinet firewall solutions including FortiManager.
- Expertise in Network Operations, Information Security, Cyber Security or similar Network Security fields providing Request, Incident, Change and Problem Management support.
- Experience with rule based design, taking inputs from customer and designing firewall rules.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with other technical areas to define complex configuration designs
Nice to Haves:
- Checkpoint firewall experience.
- Financial services experience.
- Scripting and automation.
