Summary:
Budget Analysts-Policy Analyst - The candidate will be doing professional accounting, budgeting & financial reporting.
The training will be very technical & a very good understanding of accounting is critical for success in this job.
Candidate responsibilities:
- Maintains various specialized accounting records
- Compiles and analyses of large amounts of financial data
- Ability to read and interpret statutes and regulations
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) & Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Pronouncements
- Understanding of Genal Ledgers, Trail Balances, and GAAP Financial Statements
- Knowledge of Microsoft (ex. Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
- Must have CPA or BS in Accounting
- Must have 10+ yrs of working with FASB/GASB
- Must have 10+ yrs of financial statements preparation
- Must be advanced in Microsoft Office
- Must have General Ledger systems experience (Quickbooks, PeachTree, CYMA, FLAIR, etc.)
- Ability to create, update and manage desk procedures
- Must have financial & programmatic compliance audits experience
