Job Summary
This role provides backfill support for production systems and contributes to smaller, short-term initiatives for Medicaid IT Systems. The Programmer will collaborate with customers, developers, operations teams, and QA staff to ensure smooth delivery of updates, enhancements, and maintenance tasks.
Daily Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Medicaid Services MMIS and MEDS teams to implement coding updates to COBOL and ADS programs using IDMS Network or Relational Databases
- Follow technical and design specifications for program modifications
- Debug, perform unit testing, and conduct integration testing
- Support QA, User Acceptance Testing, and external testing by addressing coding changes
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Work closely with staff and external contractors
- Participate in on-call support on a rotational basis
