Job Summary

Job Title: Business Analyst

Duration: 12 months + Long-term contract supporting modernization efforts

Location: Boise, ID 83714 (Local candidates preferred due to onsite requirements)

Expected Hours Per Week: 40

Job Description:

We are looking for a Business Analyst to find opportunities to improve business processes through changes in operations and/or technological implementations.

This position is full-time and onsite.

What You'll Do

Work closely with business-side partners to analyze and document processes, identifying unnecessary tasks and suggesting improvements.

Write user stories in Azure DevOps to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Ensure the requirements list is concise yet complete.

Collaborate with product owners to prioritize requirements and define the order of implementation for changes and features.

What You'll Need

Required:

A solid understanding of how to identify and implement business efficiencies.

Experience working with developers in an Agile development environment.

3 years' experience working with Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server.

5 years' experience working with IT departments and development teams to align with business goals.

5 years' experience creating detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.

5 years' experience working with stakeholders to define business requirements.

Preferred:

Experience with Microsoft Clarity or similar tracking software.

3 years' experience interpreting state and federal statutes to define business processes.

Experience in state government.

Physical Demands

Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional movement for meetings.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a computer (mouse, keyboard, monitor).
