We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Java Web Led Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, cloud-native web applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, AWS services, microservices architecture, and modern web technologies. This role requires strong leadership in guiding development teams, driving technical excellence, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Analysis and Design Support:

Participate in client discussions to support technical analysis on business requirements and priorities.

Perform the analysis, design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of large/complex IT solutions projects related to passenger rail transportation systems

Conduct detailed business analysis to architect & design IT solutions that meet functional and technical requirements.

Application Development:

Design, develop, test, and implement business-critical, cloud-native, enterprise-level services focusing on high availability and high performance.

Develop event-driven backend services for EDI transactions.

Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Production and Testing Support:

Provide ongoing support, perform problem analysis and resolution.

Experience with automated testing frameworks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot, and Maven.

Strong hands-on experience with AWS integrations.

Experienced with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Code Pipeline, and CloudFormation

Testing and Methodology:

Solid experience with automated testing using tools such as Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Playwright and Cypress.

Understanding of the Twelve-Factor Application Methodology.

Cloud and Security:

Hands-on experience with cloud-native design, development, and delivery using AWS technologies including ECS, EventBridge, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, Cloudwatch.

Knowledge of application security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.

Soft Skills:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong analytical thinker with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues.
