Systems Test Engineer - Acceptance Test Specification (Bothell, WA)

Join our team as a dynamic System Tester, where you'll transform complex requirements into actionable test cases, drive early defect detection, and lead innovative test automation strategies for cutting-edge Philips' technologies!

Your role:

  • Defines and Measures Test Cases: Translates system requirements into detailed test cases covering functionalities, interactions, and edge cases to ensure thorough system verification. Works under general supervision to ensure robust coverage.
  • Develops and Selects Test Scripts: Leverages appropriate scripting languages and tools aligned with Philips' testing frameworks to develop effective system test scripts. Selects tools based on system complexity and test requirements for optimal testing outcomes.
  • Mitigates Risks and Executes Tests: Identifies potential system-level risks through threat modeling and designs test scenarios to mitigate them, promoting early defect detection. Executes functional, integration, and regression tests using both manual and automated methods as needed.
  • Analyzes and Collaborates for Defect Resolution: Examines test results to diagnose defects and monitors key indicators such as coverage and test protocol effectiveness. Collaborates with developers and engineers to resolve issues through detailed communication and teamwork.
  • Adapts and Innovates in Testing Strategies: Adjusts test strategies to address evolving requirements and system complexities by creating new test cases or modifying existing ones as necessary. Supports efficiency via test automation frameworks and maintains updated methodologies relevant to Philips' products.

You're the right fit if:

  • You've acquired 5+ years of experience expertise in reliability engineering, design qualification testing, RLC circuit analysis, and electrical safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be adept at ensuring system reliability, conducting rigorous design validation tests, analyzing and optimizing RLC circuits, and adhering to industry-standard electrical safety practices.
  • Your skills include the ability to help maintain certification to IEC 60601-2-37 by utilizing equipment and processes that support CSA/TUV certification standards. Professional certifications like, Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) and CSA 60601-1, are highly preferred.
  • You have a Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You're experienced in supporting the Sustaining, Cost Down and NPI projects that help keep production lines moving and deliver NPI programs on-time.

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

This is an office-based role in Bothell, WA.

Philips Transparency Details:

The pay range for this position in WA is $110,000 to $177,000

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
