Position Summary

We are seeking a Manual Tester with experience in Core Banking systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in executing test cases, managing defects, and ensuring product quality through structured testing practices. This role requires collaboration with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of banking technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Test Execution & Defect Management

  • Execute test cases and validate results against requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track defects.
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and ensure timely, accurate defect reporting.

Automation (Nice-to-Have)

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites.
  • Support faster and more reliable testing processes.

Performance Testing

  • Design and execute performance tests to validate scalability, stability, and responsiveness of applications under expected load conditions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Assess and refine QA processes to improve testing efficiency and release quality.
  • Implement process enhancements and contribute to team best practices.

Technical Expertise & Documentation

  • Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members on QA practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Core Banking systems background is required.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Hands-on experience in Agile and Scrum environments.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (preferred).
  • Strong experience in defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

Work Experience & Education

  • 3 6 years of QA/Testing experience (banking or financial services domain preferred).
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
