ELECTRICAL POWERTRAIN SYSTEM CONTROLS TEST ENGINEER
Responsibilities:
-Automotive development and testing of Powertrain Control Units.
-Writing hardware and software specifications.
-Performing confirmation testing on the actual vehicle and simulator.
-Troubleshooting and fixing related problems.
-Software functional data analysis and report generation.
-Working with component suppliers and other departments to resolve technical issues.
-Make technical decisions with moderate supervision.
-Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals.
-Other responsibilities also include researching new technologies and market trends and making proposals for future products.
Requirements:
-Requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar.
-5 years' experience with Powertrain ECU validation (Transmission, Shifter or FI-ECU preferred experience).
-Strong knowledge of electrical hardware and software development.
-Interest in the automotive field and experience in the use of electronic measuring equipment and electrical troubleshooting experience.
-Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint / Vector tools: CANalyzer, CANape / ETAS: INCA)
-Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
-Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
-Valid Ohio driver's license.
