Position: Data Modeling Consultant - 100% Remote

Overview:
Our client, a leading private equity firm with a dynamic portfolio of 80+ SaaS companies, is seeking a Data Modeling Consultant to support finance transformation initiatives. This role bridges finance and technology, driving innovation through data modeling, automation, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Build and maintain financial data models to support strategic decision-making.

  • Develop prototypes and tools using Excel, SQL, and Python to streamline financial operations.

  • Design automation workflows using Microsoft Power Platform or similar automation tools/processes.

  • Collaborate with finance and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

  • Support financial systems and tools, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.



Qualifications:



  • 2-4 years of experience in financial modeling or data analytics.

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with VBA, SQL, and Python.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial tools (e.g., Concur, Sage Intacct, FloQast).

  • Experience with Power Platform and data visualization tools.

  • Background in financial services, private equity, or SaaS preferred.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
