Position: Junior QA Automation Engineer 
Location: Tulsa, OK - 74104
Duration: 12+ months with possible extension
 
Description:
  • Under direct supervision, gains competency in manual software testing. 
  • Learn the operation and application of the software product tested, interprets test plans, and creates, designs and executes test cases. Identifies and describes defects and usability problems, evaluates fixes for these defects, and develops additional test cases and plans where required. 
  • Learn about the software development and testing process. Learn energy services domain-specific knowledge. 
  • This is a junior level testing position; it will require in the initial stages close interaction with a senior or lead level Technical Software tester and possibly classroom development to understand products tested. 
  • Requires a High School Diploma and a minimum of two years experience in IT.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across various browsers and platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and ensure testability.
  • Identify, log, track, and report software defects with clear and concise documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the test automation framework.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
  • Participate in code reviews of test scripts to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in test automation and Playwright.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress and defect status to stakeholders.
 
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for creating and executing automated tests.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, API interactions).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
