Title: Epic Orders Analyst
Location: Remote Short Description:
Epic Orders Analyst provides application support, build, testing, and optimization of Epic Orders workflows within the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF)

Complete Description:
ONLY EPIC-CERTIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide application build and configuration for Epic Orders workflows (CPOE, order sets, protocols, preference lists, and decision support).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and ancillary staff to gather requirements and translate them into system functionality.
  • Participate in system testing, integrated validation, and change management processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues escalated via ServiceNow, providing timely resolution or escalation as appropriate.
  • Support compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards for orders management (CMS, Joint Commission, NC state policies).
  • Work collaboratively with other Epic module analysts (Clin Doc, Pharmacy, Lab, Radiology, HIM, Security, etc.) to ensure workflow integration and system interoperability.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for orders-related support issues.
    Required Skills
    Epic Orders certification requiredRequired 7 Years
    Epic implementation or operations support experienceRequired 7 Years
    Strong understanding of clinical documentation practices in healthcare settings Required 7Years
    Ability to analyze workflow needs and translate them into Epic configuration. Required 7Years
    Epic Clin Doc or other related certifications are highly desiredHighly desired 5Years
    Previous experience as an Epic Orders Analyst or Builder in a healthcare environment. Required 7Years
