Role: Senior Guidewire Developer with Insurance Domain Exp Location: 100% Remote Duration: Long Term
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, configuration, and development of Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter)
- Customize and extend Guidewire products using GOSU, Java, and Guidewire Studio
- Integrate Guidewire with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, and plugins
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and production support
- Mentor junior developers and ensure coding best practices
- Write technical documentation and ensure code quality through automated testing and continuous integration
- Stay updated on the latest Guidewire features and industry best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience with Guidewire, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead role
- Strong hands-on experience with GOSU, Java, and Guidewire Studio
- Experience with at least one of the core modules: PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter
- Solid understanding of Guidewire Data Model, Rules, Workflows, and Configuration/Integration layers
- Familiarity with web services (REST/SOAP), XML, and messaging queues (e.g., JMS)
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Guidewire certification (Developer or Specialist level)
- Experience with cloud-hosted Guidewire implementations (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of insurance industry standards and business processes
