I'm hiring for a SharePoint Systems Administrator IV with one of our direct clients.

Job Role: SharePoint Systems Administrator IV

Department: Department of Corrections (DOC)

Location: Madison, WI

Duration: 12+ Months Contract with the potential to extend for an additional term(s)

Note: Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate at their own expense. 100% remote within the State of Wisconsin, and contractor may have to travel to DOC Central Office occasionally (1 2 times per quarter).

  • Conducting systems analyses and configuring third party software/applications.
  • Collecting and analyzing data and business/user requirements, drawing conclusions, and recommending solutions.
  • Developing data models and conducting software tests.
  • With SharePoint administration such as managing permissions, site creation, configuring list views, and implementing workflows.

Position Summary:

  • Work under the general supervision of the Collaboration and Project Management Supervisor in the overall development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of applications and reports. This position participates in all phases of the IS Systems Development Methodology.
  • Duties include developing applications and workflows in response to requests from business partners. Technologies used include, but are not limited to: SharePoint Designer, MS Access, MS InfoPath, MS Power Apps, MS Power Automate, Ivanti, TypeScript, .NET, or SQL.
  • Work with Department personnel to analyze user needs; prepare business requirements documents and specifications; and design, write, test, and move application components into production according to established standards. Lead work as a member of system development teams under the direction of the project manager as needed. Maintain and support existing applications.
  • This position shall comply with the Department s administrative rules and the agency s policies and procedures, including those related to the Department's overall Reentry philosophy of using evidence-based strategies, practices, and programs which target an individual s criminogenic needs and risk level.

% Time Goals and Worker Activities

40% A. Systems analysis and design

A1. Analyze existing systems and procedures in the correctional institutions, Community Corrections field offices, and other departmental units by examining business functions and processes, organizational structure, job responsibilities, information flow, and computer equipment.

A2. Analyze & define business requirements for the development and/or enhancement of SharePoint, SharePoint Online using Power Apps, packaged software applications, electronic forms, workflows, reports, interfaces, Ivanti IT Service Manager Configurations, and data extracts.

A3. Learn the methods by which applications can run in a DevOps environment.

A4. Conduct business workflow analysis and create and maintain business requirements documentation.

A5. Ensure systems tools and methodologies are consistent with agency technical policies and standards.

A6. Develop & evaluate application alternatives, recommend changes or improvements that solve the needs of the business.

A7. Prepare project plans for small projects and/or provide detailed tasks to be included in the project plan.

A8. Develop detailed design specifications and interact with system users to assure a mutual understanding and agreement on design specifications.

A9. Estimate resources required for proposed program changes.

A10. Provide independent project management leadership over complex application projects.

A11. Attend and participate in meetings and provide regular project status review reports as appropriate.

40% B. Programming and implementation of computer solutions for the business community.

B1. Develop prototypes following proposed design to demonstrate approach for approval.

B2. Program application components to implement application business logic and/or generate user interface content including global and specific program documentation.

B3. Develop and review detailed program specifications.

B4 Compile and link application components as necessary using compiler software.

B5. Develop and code complex collaboration, Service Desk, and business applications, which meet the business requirements and department standards.

B6. Develop & maintain appropriate program documentation.

B7. Develop & document software unit test plans. Develop test data and demonstrate validity of the application component.

B8. Develop, document, & coordinate system integration test plans.

B9. Coordinate systems installation.

10% C Provide technical application support and training to department staff on the use of information systems and resources.

C1. Assess customer needs effectively and communicate in a clear, concise manner with customers of varying technical levels both verbally and in writing.

C2. Identify new information or problem areas necessitating staff training or technical assistance.

C3. Create and maintain effective product documentation for efficient development, maintenance, and support activities.

C4. Prepare information, manuals, handouts, demonstrations, and training formats for effective presentation.

10% D. Other related tasks.

D1. Provide input to BTM supervisors to discuss pertinent issues related to application development or support of collaboration applications.

D2. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

D3. Track time against appropriate tasks per standards.
