Job Description:
Account Reconciliation Medical Billing Analyst
Location: San Diego, CA
(Position will work from home but must be within 2 hours of San Diego to pick up equipment)

Job Description:
Manages and analyzes monetary resources and affairs within an organization. Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients. May also be responsible for conducting technical accounting research as needed. Prepares and maintains supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Updates and collects business unit reporting packages, helps prepare ad hoc financial reporting as necessary.
  • Member level insurance membership account reconciliation using excel and multiple systems
  • Ensuring enrollment coverage and billing are aligned, reviewing billing accuracy, adjusting where necessary
  • Reconciliation of data between our internal systems and the exchanges
  • Validation and approval of refunds
  • Proven ability to think critically, research root cause and identify production defects
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment and manage workload effectively understanding of debits and credits, and reversals concepts Excellent attention to detail and number typing accuracy
  • Good organization and prioritization skills experience with premium billing specifically ideally
  • Experience with reading 834 files preferred health insurance industry experience preferred excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience as a remote worker
  • Good team player
  • Fluent in Excel
  • Quick learner, ability to pick up systems quickly
  • Good communication skills with ability to write status updates and summaries in clear English good judgement, able to think independently and apply knowledge to other situations
  • Reliable and with good attendance, and adaptable
  • Ad-hoc projects assigned

Specific Systems Knowledge Preferred:
ORMB, Epic Tapestry Membership, SharePoint, Excel,
Experience Level: BA in Finance or Accounting required.
Specific Systems Knowledge Required:
Recent Excel test 90%+ passing score - difficulty intermediate
30wpm+ typing speed & 95% accuracy
