Role Overview

The Data Analyst plays a key role in strengthening the organization s data strategy and decision-making capabilities. Working cross-functionally with business and technical stakeholders, this role supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of data solutions, reporting frameworks, and governance practices.

You will leverage analytical tools and visualization platforms to uncover insights, standardize data practices, and enhance data quality directly contributing to strategic goals and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on data governance and strategy initiatives; serve as a liaison between business users and data developers.

  • Collect and interpret business requirements to design effective data solutions.

  • Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support decision-making.

  • Use SQL and other analytics tools to query, analyze, and transform data from multiple sources.

  • Support Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and data integration efforts.

  • Promote and maintain data standardization, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

  • Assess data quality and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.

  • Explore new data sources, tools, and methodologies to strengthen data analytics capabilities.

  • Document data definitions, business rules, and processes; develop user guides and training materials for stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance principles.

  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI

  • Ability to interpret and translate complex data findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to accuracy, completeness, and documentation.

  • Technologically savvy and quick to learn new systems or applications.

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Statistics, Business, or Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a financial services, banking, or credit union environment.

  • Familiarity with ETL tools or data integration platforms.

  • Exposure to data governance frameworks or enterprise data management initiatives.

  • Experience using Python, R, or Excel for data analysis or automation.
