Job Overview:
The Project Engineer Manager will lead a team of engineers and CAD designers to deliver high-quality physical layout and protection/control design packages for substation projects. This role involves sealing project deliverables, managing customer relationships, and exploring business development opportunities. The position reports directly to the Divisional Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and schedule engineering and CAD teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Act as the primary customer point of contact for project oversight and satisfaction.
- Perform engineering calculations and oversee all design activities.
- Lead the preparation of complex project specifications and bid packages.
- Conduct thorough drawing reviews to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Train and mentor Project Engineers I and II to enhance team capabilities.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for project management and communication.
- Perform other duties as required to support project and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of engineering experience, with a focus on substation engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Expertise in substation engineering, including physical layout, protection and control (P&C), relay settings, commissioning, and relay testing.
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams.
- Experience in business development and customer relationship management.
- Advanced customer management skills.
