Lockheed Martin is looking for an energetic and high performing Systems Engineer to join the team as a FBM Weapons System Engineering and Integration (WSEI) Systems Integrator.

As the WSEI Systems Integrator, you will:

Lead systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution

Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility

Provide independent review and cross-program coordination to ensure electrical and data subsystem designs and as-built products are compatible

Is a technical advocate for the Guidance/Fire Control to Missile Interface and support all major change reviews within LM and with partner co-contractors.

Perform data reviews and provide feedback to test and integration teams

Find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies

This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance. ship required.

Basic Qualifications

Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes/lifecycle and Systems Integration functions which may include:
a.) System trade studies and/or System modeling
b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
c.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
d.) Test planning and implementation with an understanding of all the interdependencies
e.) Design reviews

Experience with missile or launch vehicle assembly
Experience supporting equipment and operational procedures for missiles or launch vehicles
Excellent record of shaping/maintaining relationships with DoD customers
Knowledge of problem investigation methods, root cause analysis methods and problem resolution/corrective action development
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, thus ship is required

Desired skills

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Working knowledge of complex missile or launch vehicle systems, missile or launch vehicle subsystems, including Electronics, Guidance, Fire Control, Reentry etc.

System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)

Experience with guidance systems, fire control systems, flight operations, and/or electrical design

Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for implementation on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data

Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program

Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Delegate CPE for electronics packages or similar and Engineering Material Review (EMRB) experience; ability to interact with hardware CPEs and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied

Demonstrated experience of good judgment and programmatic implementation vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations

Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations

Demonstrated experience to lead teams and get results without direct authority

Knowledge of the Submarine Launch Ballistic Missile (SLBM) Strategic Weapon System

Knowledge of Trident II (D5LE) Missile System design and operation, and interfaces to the Reentry System

Experience with development of new missile systems and corresponding mechanical and electrical ground support equipment

Knowledge of D5LE missile processing, wharf operations and In-Tube Conversion procedures

Experience in working with FBM Navy customer organization (Strategic Systems Program), including the Missile Branch, Reentry Branch and contractor support activity

Ability to act as interface with Navy on Fleet and Facility support issues relating to the Trident II (D5) Missile

Active Secret or Top Secret DoD security clearance

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
