Position: Guidewire Policy Center Architect

Location: Remote

Duration: 12+ months

Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall architecture, design, and implementation of the Guidewire Policy Center solution.
  • Ensure seamless integration with Billing Center and Claim Center (on-premise systems).
  • Architect and oversee the Guidewire upgrade process, ensuring compatibility with existing integrations.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to enable and optimize reporting capabilities across systems.
  • Design and maintain data flow architecture involving 4 5 systems, ensuring scalability and data integrity.
  • Oversee the coexistence of Guidewire and IRIS systems for reporting purposes until IRIS decommissioning.
  • Develop a transition plan to retire IRIS while maintaining uninterrupted reporting and data operations.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of cloud and on-premise solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural governance for development and integration teams.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in software architecture with at least 5 years in Guidewire platform (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center).
  • Proven experience in Guidewire Cloud implementation and migration projects (hands-on experience, not just exposure).
  • Strong understanding of Guidewire data model, configuration, integration, and customization.
  • Experience integrating Guidewire with multiple enterprise systems (4 5 systems).
  • Deep understanding of on-prem to cloud transition strategies for Guidewire.
  • Experience in upgrading Guidewire Claim Center and integrating it with existing Policy and Billing systems.
  • Knowledge of reporting frameworks and data extraction from Guidewire and related financial systems.
  • Familiarity with IRIS system integration and reporting is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, web services, middleware, and data exchange mechanisms (SOAP/REST).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to interface between business, finance, and technical teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting tools used by finance teams.
  • Prior experience in insurance domain transformation projects involving legacy system retirement.

Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
