- 6-month contract with possible extensions as a W2 employee of Talent Groups.
The Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving the organization s enterprise-wide architecture to ensure strong alignment between business strategy and technology execution. This role provides strategic direction across applications, data, infrastructure, and integration platforms while enabling scalability, security, and operational efficiency across a complex, multi-platform environment.
This position partners closely with business and technology leaders to shape long-term architectural vision while supporting near-term delivery and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Architecture
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards, and roadmaps
- Translate business strategy into target-state architectures and multi-year transformation plans
- Ensure alignment between business capabilities, processes, and technology platforms
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption based on business value and architectural fit
Governance & Standards
- Establish and enforce architecture governance, design standards, and best practices
- Review and guide solution architectures for major initiatives and programs
- Ensure architectural alignment with security, privacy, regulatory, and resiliency requirements
- Identify and manage technical debt while guiding modernization efforts
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with business leaders, product owners, and IT leadership to shape technology strategy
- Guide and mentor solution, application, and domain architects
- Facilitate architecture reviews, design workshops, and decision forums
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology investments and tradeoffs
Execution & Enablement
- Provide architectural guidance and risk mitigation for major programs and initiatives
- Define enterprise integration, data, and platform strategies
- Enable cloud, digital, and data transformation efforts
- Drive reuse, interoperability, and simplification across systems and platforms
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in technology, including enterprise architecture and large-scale systems
- Proven experience designing architectures across applications, data, and infrastructure domains
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, integration patterns, APIs, and data architecture
- Experience architecting or supporting ecosystems that include technologies such as:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and related architecture certifications
- Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, CJA, AEP)
- Salesforce Data Cloud and Sales Cloud
- Java-based platforms, including distributed or reactive systems (e.g., Scala/Akka)
- Cloud-native or microservices platforms using languages such as Go
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the travel industry, including familiarity with reservation or distribution platforms (GDS)
- Background in regulated or complex, multi-brand enterprise environments
- Experience leading or supporting digital transformation, modernization, or cloud migration programs
