  • Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum) and project management tools (Azure DevOps preferred).
  • Strong technical background, with expertise in software development methodologies, programming languages, and technologies relevant to the organization's industry and product/service offerings (Azure, .NET, Angular preferred).
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and overcoming obstacles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager:

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Guidance: In collaboration with the Enterprise Architect, provide technical guidance to engineering team members, assisting with problem-solving, design reviews, and architectural decisions.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources (technical infrastructure, budget, and staff) to effectively implement company strategy, balance competing priorities, and optimize the team's productivity and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, design, quality assurance, cloud, process, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, scalability, and quality.
  • Performance Management: Monitor execution of objectives for team members, conduct regular 1:1s, and provide constructive feedback to support their professional development and career growth.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with senior leadership and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status, key milestones, and technical achievements.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and dependencies early in the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery.
  • Talent Acquisition: Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for engineering team members, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and expertise to meet current and future business needs.
