responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team, setting clear performance expectations, providing expert guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability to maximize effectiveness.
- Define, implement, and enforce rigorous quality standards and processes across software, hardware, and integrated systems, ensuring all products meet stringent federal and state certification requirements.
- Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive manual and automated test plans, driving the automation strategy and managing automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Manage test data, test environments, and the QA lab equipment, ensuring all resources are optimally utilized to support thorough testing.
- Collaborate closely with Product Development, Engineering, and other departments to embed quality throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from conception to release.
- Interpret complex business, technical, and certification requirements to validate full test coverage and ensure product compliance.
- Lead investigative testing of field-reported issues and guide formal root cause analysis when appropriate, ensuring swift resolution and preventive actions.
- Generate insightful dashboards and reports summarizing testing outcomes, defect trends, and key quality metrics, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives to optimize QA tools, methodologies, and processes, staying current on emerging technologies and trends to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure alignment with strategic roadmap deliverables.

qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow high-performing QA teams in dynamic environments.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, including comprehensive manual and automated test planning and management.
- Hands-on experience testing complex client-server applications and/or smart devices.
- Demonstrated success in leading and designing advanced automated testing frameworks.
- Extensive experience in Agile/Scrum and iterative development environments.
- Proficiency in relational databases, SQL, XML validation, and scripting languages.
- Strong grasp of multi-tier architecture, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
- Expertise in test management and defect tracking tools such as Quality Center (ALM) or equivalents.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining comprehensive manual and automated test artifacts.
- Ability to interpret and validate complex technical, business, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with regulatory and certification processes for new product development.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex requirements and implement effective solutions.
- A keen ability to use quality metrics and trends for data-driven decision-making and continuous quality improvements.
