We are entering a major modernization phase and seeking a Lead, Engineering & AI Enablement to architect, build, and scale the systems powering our next chapter.
The Role
The Lead, Engineering & AI Enablement is a hybrid builder role - part engineering architect, part AI workflow leader - responsible for creating the technical foundation that enables Eventus to scale clinically, operationally, and financially.
You will build the engineering function from the ground up, own critical EMR and API integrations, and drive AI-powered automation across clinical operations, scheduling, compliance, RCM, HR, and business development. You will also architect enterprise-wide AI systems including AI agents, enterprise ChatGPT capabilities, and EMR-native AI workflows.
This is a player/coach role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, builds quickly, and wants to leave a lasting mark.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Build and lead a small, high-velocity engineering team
- Architect an API-first, cloud-native infrastructure to support Eventus' full ecosystem
- Implement engineering standards (CI/CD, testing, documentation, versioning, security)
- Own technical delivery for major integrations across AthenaHealth, Snowflake, UKG, Assembly, Monday.com, PerfectServe, and additional internal systems
AI Enablement & Enterprise Automation
AI Agents & Automation
- Architect and deploy AI-driven workflow automation across clinical operations, care coordination, scheduling, RCM, compliance auditing, MA task management, HR, and BD
- Build autonomous, multi-agent systems that reduce manual burden and scale OCH workflows
Enterprise ChatGPT & Internal Communication AI
- Lead development of enterprise-wide ChatGPT solutions supporting:
- Internal communication
- Knowledge management
- Workflow routing
- Real-time task automation
- Provider and MA support
- Executive dashboards
EMR-Integrated AI Workflows
- Integrate AI into Athena workflows, including:
- Ambient documentation
- Medication reconciliation automation
- Clinical decision support aligned to Eventus Best Practices
- EMR-native task routing and recommendations
Eventus Brain
- Drive the buildout of the Eventus Brain, enabling system-level orchestration between AI agents, data systems, and human workflows
Product & Platform Execution
- Co-own engineering delivery for Eventus Connect, our facility-facing engagement and workflow platform
- Deliver provider-facing tools including GPS check-in/out, rounding support, facility dashboards, and AI-generated summaries
- Partner with Product and Data teams to ensure engineering velocity supports OCH model evolution and MUO strategy
Data Infrastructure Alignment
- Collaborate with SVP, Data & Analytics to scale Snowflake into a real-time operational backbone
- Ensure clean, reliable, and scalable data flows across EMR systems, workflows, and AI pipelines
- Support creation of OCH scoring, MUO dashboards, risk stratification, and intelligent care coordination tools
Security & Compliance
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant architecture and secure API frameworks
- Implement automated compliance guardrails and audit-support workflows
What Makes You a Strong Fit
Technical Expertise
- Strong foundation in software architecture and engineering design
- Hands-on experience with APIs, Python, SQL, cloud infrastructure, and healthcare data formats (HL7/FHIR preferred)
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM-based workflows, including ChatGPT, agentic systems, and EMR-integrated automation
- Background building scalable systems in a high-growth or healthcare or adjacent regulated environment
Leadership & Execution
- Operates as a true builder - player/coach, low ego, highly accountable
- Strong ability to convert strategy into 30/60/90-day deliverables
- Excellent cross-functional leadership with operations, clinical, product, and data teams

What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
- Deliver a full architecture map of engineering, integrations, AI agents, enterprise ChatGPT, and EMR AI workflows
- Prioritize engineering backlog and define a near-term execution roadmap
- Launch first AI automations: enterprise ChatGPT support bot, scheduling automation, compliance auditing automation, MA task support tools
- Support the ongoing development of Eventus Connect, ensuring engineering alignment and acceleration
Six Months
- Deliver Eventus Connect 1.0 in partnership with Data & Product
- Build initial engineering team (2-3 foundational hires)
- Implement AI automations across multiple OCH support workflows
- Reduce manual workload across operations, compliance, provider support, and care coordination
Twelve Months
- Operationalize the Eventus Brain across clinical, facility, and internal workflows
- Achieve a 50-70% reduction in administrative friction through automation
- Establish Eventus as the most tech-forward LTC/OCH organization in the nation
