JOB SUMMARY
Population Science Data Analyst I is sought to support research efforts by managing and analyzing clinical and research data. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team, including the Senior Data Manager, Researchers, Clinicians, and IT professionals, to address data-related needs. This role involves handling large, complex datasets, conducting analyses, and contributing to research publications.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required
  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree In related field in behavioral, social science, or clinical applied research
  • Experience
    1 year Experience directly related to type of database building, maintenance including experience working with and maintaining large complex database along with data analysis experience, preferably in behavioral, social science or clinical applied research and
  • Preferred Experience
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record data.
  • Proficiency in R, SQL, and Python (highly preferred)
  • Working knowledgeable of SAS, Stata, or other statistical software.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft BI.
  • Familiarity with IRB processes and human subject research protections.
JOB DUTIES
  • Work under the direction of a Senior Data Manager to extract, clean, and integrate data from EPIC and other sources for use in research studies.
  • Provide data management and analysis support to faculty and research staff.
  • Contribute to the statistical analysis of data and the preparation of figures, tables, and results for presentations, reports, and publications.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, and IT teams.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of IRB applications and related documentation.
  • Maintain required certifications and hospital credentials necessary for working with clinical data.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements regarding data privacy, security, and ethical standards.
  • Stay current with evolving technical skills, analytic methods, and institutional best practices.
